This Selkirk cleaning block works very well on my carbon-faced paddle. Most impact marks have disappeared and the spin has improved.
instantly have taken to this paddle added an over grip and easily will get me to a 5.0 DUPR very soon.
I completely understand that I was not buying anything that would be anything other than a starter to give me an idea of whether or not I could play. However I couldn’t hit a ball properly with it - it sent the ball in weird directions and others took pity on me and lent me their bats to try.
The regular players gave up on this bat because as one review said it was unplayable.
So I effectively bought cheap and got excessively nasty and useless
Should have done more research - not suitable for the sport
Having seen too many cases of detached retinas etc I decided to take some action. I tried a pair from Amazon that were not good - uncomfortable and ineffective. These ones (heavier) are very comfortable to wear and do not slip around or impede in anyway. I am hoping as well that they help in me not being wary of high speed spinners coming towards me LOL
