What is Pickleball?
Easy to learn and is suitable for players of all ages and skill levels, Pickleball is now the fastest growing sport in the world and is incredibly popular in the UK now! It’s played with paddles, and combines tennis, badminton and table tennis. Even though pickleball is like tennis, there are important differences that make pickleball more accessible. The most important difference is the speed of the ball. A pickleball travels at about a third of the speed of a tennis ball. The court is also less than a third of the total area of a tennis court. The smaller surface area combined with the slower ball speed, and an underhand serve make pickleball easier to play than tennis. We’ve added a video below to further explain!
